Money For a Tangible Purpose

As we all know money is an issue for most people. With the New Year and it’s resolution, for many of us, it is part of our resolutions, what this might mean to you; whether it be saving money through frugality or making more. It is often a concern or at the very least a desire to have extra.

In the past week I have had the pleasure of talking to two top coaches, both of whom are very well known, not only on the coaching circuit, but worldwide through television appearances and other media publicity.

Michael Neill who I have the opportunity to talk to on a monthly basis, through my wealth coaching program, is an International speaker, Success coach and author.

Sanyika calloway Boyce who I had the pleasure of being on a call with tonight, is an International speaker, Finance coach and author.

As we discussed the area of finance quite extensively on both calls, I wanted to take a moment and share with you probably the most fundamental way to make a change to your money situation.

Michael very wisely pointed out that you need a tangible purpose in order to create more money with motivation.

Meaning if you have a reason to need more money then you are far more likely to find a way of creating it, rather than just putting out a figure, because it sounds good, or it’s what you think others expect of you.

So Michael suggested that you set up 3 amounts, like stages to aim for.

The first level is; how much money do I need per month, to live the lifestyle I currently lead, including bills, and expenses. Write down the figure which that comes to.

The second level is; how much money do I need now for my new and improved life, in order to pay for that holiday I have wanted, or pay for the course I could do to get a promotion, or pay Aunt Hilda’s health insurance for a whole year. Whatever you can conceive, write it down, what would that new figure be.

The third level is; Your WoW! level. So here you would consider bigger targets, like; I love the idea of moving to that bigger house and visiting the Taj Mahal on first class tickets, learning to fly a plane and racing camels across the Sahara Desert and even starting up a foundation to help feed the homeless. What figure would you now need? Write it down.

There is no end to the imagination, though you don’t often practise using it because society has drummed into us quite well that you have to work hard for your money, or it doesn’t grow on trees, and so you seldom feel or believe it to be possible for you to accomplish.

But it makes all the difference in getting the money if you have dreams and desires of what you would like to create in your life. Purely because you open yourself up to new possibilities and conjure new propositions for making it possible and making it fun at the same time.

Sanyika made a very powerful comment on this matter also, in the way of a question. “What is your vision that requires you to earn more money” See once you are clear, it takes away the any guilt that you might otherwise experience and you are making a concious and responsible decision, of what you plan to do with the money.

If you are interested in discovering yourself further and would like to see how I could help you in this area, please feel free to contact me, it is always a pleasure to see people living the life of their dreams. It is my purpose and passion in seeing it happen for you.

A Millionaire Mind

I want to tell you about a wonderful technique used across the board in coaching to lead you to a better understanding of doing what you love. The exercise is based on you writing what you would do with your average day once you are a millionaire.

This is the kind of day you deem to be perfect, however based on the assumption, that you hadn’t just become a millionaire. By actually having been one for quite sometime, the initial holidays and other pursuits that immediately come to mind, would have been enjoyed and you would just be experiencing a day in your dream life.

As an idea, some of the things that come to mind for me are;

to wake up in a home by the beach, go for a walk on the beach with my husband, spend the morning, reading a book, writing a book or articles and speaking to/coaching clients.

Have an in house chef to cook a wonderful and healthy lunch (part of my issue with eating regularly and also healthy food is because of the time involved, also i’m quite particular about food) and indulge in it.

I love to learn languages, so study, take up yoga with a personal teacher. I love horses, a wonderful time horse riding along the shoreline, go swimming in the sea, take care of myself better as in pamper my physical body.
I choose different activities which i feel i desire to improve and do something different each day. Challenge myself out of my comfort zone.

I enjoy socialising and inviting friends and family for meals or going out together and mixing with people who are positive and have a winners attitude towards life. Perhaps eat on a boat while watching the sun set…

…And spending quality time with my husband.

Well you get the picture i’m sure.

So what i would like you to do now is pick up a pen and jot down what kinds of things you are doing in your perfect dream day.

If you could, have, do and be anything that you want, there are no limits and nothing to stop you. Imagine what it is that you’re doing! The only limits are the ones you place on yourself through your beliefs about whether you deserve to have, so i really want you to THINK BIG here and step outside yourself for the purpose of this experiment

May this give you an inspiring beginning to a teriffic week, have fun and remember, when someone asks what’s possible, i always now respond with a what’s impossible? You are your only limitation.

Live your Dreams

Love Monika
